I'm not sure I want to read this site, History of Zoophilia and The Law but I found it looking for the WA law writing activity. I think I'll just stop right here.
Eh, doesn't surprise me. Mares usually will lash out even at stallions that approach them when they aren't on the mood - many wild stallions have earned hoof-prints on their chests for trying to mount a mare without her permission. If it was a stallion, even worse... |

umm I may be very very wrong about this, but from what I infered from this article and others is that the man was not "riding" the horse but it was the other was 'round. God I hope i'm wrong. |

Eww... Is that even mechanically possible? There was a similar thing in the movie Top Secret!, but that was a movie.
A number of years ago, a man was accused of raping his ~8 year old daughter. She insisted that it was the family dog that did it, but authorities refused to believe her story. Some psychologist talked about transference or something... Anyway, during a reconstruction in the family's home, a female police officer got severely jumped by the dog and they realised that the girl was telling the truth all along. The dog was put down after that.
(edit: finding articles referencing this story is hard, but here is one in Swedish http://www.nkmr.org/fallet_karin.htm for those who want an external source. Swedish speaking members like Starman, Hawks, Maverick etc. can confirm that the link acknowleges the story) |

Dunno, Mab, I'm gonna have to remain highly skeptical of that story. |

I can vouch for the story in an anectdotal manner. Fortunately, the snowsuit I had on was suffiently think to prevent such an action. I only struck the dog once to get him off of me. |

I guess I'll have to dig deeper for evidence. The episode took place in -95 when Web-content was practically non-existent. The story was huge though. This wasn't someone who heard of someone who knew this guy it happened to. The man accused for the rape of his daughter was one of the most know politicians in our "County", Örebro Landsting (if I recall correctly). The "circus" went on for months. |

But is it mechanically possible for a dog to rape a child? |

For large enough dogs, yes. |
