I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Bad Astronomy Blog, this one deserves a special mention, IMHO.

As an Australian, I am guilty of paying very little attention the activities of US politicians and their ilk (perhaps too little, and to my own detriment), but, to put it as succinctly as I can:
