For those not in the frog loop, for fifty years this fungus has slowly spread around the world killing many species of frogs. In recent (warming) years the spread has increased to threaten over half of the worlds frog species with extinction if no solution is found.
The cause is another frog which was used and shipped around the world in mid-century as a pregnancy test.
