That means 6:00 PM Server Time

Server Time (and your local time) is noted at the bottom of the Menu to the left in the Forum-pages. There you can work out the time difference.

My hip is unusually bad, which means that I'll be staying home from work, thus going to bed long before chat opens.

I'll look forward to reading the summary.

The human hip is yet another evolutionary cock-up that has no business trying to carry an upright biped around for it's lifespan. Like an idiot, I waited until I could no longer walk on it at all before having my left one replaced. I could'a saved myself a lot of pain if I'd had it done done years sooner.

Unfortunatly, the prosthetic ones don't last forever either, so age is a factor in getting the job done. But I reccommend it as as soon as practical.

Due to the prosthetic's limited life-span (i'm currently only 36) it's not a viable option for many years yet.
What do one do when the last one is worn out? Amputate?

I'm not entirely sure, I think thay can replace it yet again. But it can't be done very many times.

At my last visit to the VA, I was told that new joints were being developed that would be longer lived. Might be something to keep an eye on. Perhaps they might even come up with a repair kit, as it were.

That's what I was referring to. My doctor said they can usually replace a worn out prosthesis once, but rarely more because they have to carve out some bone every time to get it to stick. And the hip is only so much bone...

Yes, perhaps some way to replace the worn out plastic parts of the joint.
I am already Michael v1.1 with the screws in the femur. I'm looking forward to be upgraded to v1.2, but as for now it's not a viable option. Makes me wonder what version Siberia is. She's been in and out for adjustments.
