That really bites, Marf. If the SFN were the sort of operation that had "scholarships," I'd see what we could do to help you out. At a dollar profit per t-shirt, how many would we have to sell in the next few weeks to get your tickets? Dang. |

I'll bump this and say that I am tentatively planning to show up, too. I'm supposed to be packing that weekend for a move further north, but I can probably take a few hours out of the day to travel the hour south and say hello. |

I'll bump this again and say that I've worked things out so that barring a disaster, I'll be there. Plan is 11 am outside the Natural History Museum on the Madison Drive side. Roll call looks like Dave, Boron10, Ricky, HH (if he can wake up early enough), and me. Others should join in if they're in the area! Southwest flies cheap into BWI, and you can take the lightrail directly from the airport into DC's Union Station. JetBlue also flies cheap, and they come to Dulles. Though I don't use it much, I'm sure there's easy transport to the city.
It's not too late to plan a vacation to the Nation's Capital!
Anyhow, we'll perhaps get something to eat, see a bit of the museum, and then go from there. Yes, drinks (at least a few) should be involved.
I'll have my cell, so anyone interested should PM me.
ETA And don't forget to bring a camera! |

I'll have to downgrade that to a definite wimp-out. Sorry. I'm nearing the tail end of a ton of FD training in addition to work, and we just added a new family member (three years old, think of the girl from Monsters Inc.). I've practically disappeared from the three forums I hang out at (here, Bad Astronomy, and Apollohoax), for example.
Abject apologies for my lameness, but have a good time. |

Well, it's too bad that we won't see you there, sts60, but congratulations on the new family member, eh?
If it's not too personal a question, how did you "just add" a three-year-old girl to the family? |

Ok, this outing is a week from tomorrow, correct?

Assuming we make it through tomorrow (6/6/6), the get-together is just about 118 hours away.
Anyone else up for it? |

Fostering; hopefully to adopt.
Have a good time, everyone! |

This bump will serve as yet another reminder for tomorrow's unofficial SFN get-together in Washington DC. Details appear earlier in the thread. If you're in the area, do stop by! |
