Cars and bullets have always killed far more people as well as animals than has radiation.

An increased rate of cancer would not put a big dent in animal populations, since most cancer deaths would probably occur after they have passed their prime reproducing years.

I wonder if a higher mutation rate is helping some of the short lived species such as mice to adapt to the changed environment.

I remember seeing that movie, as well as the 'canary' movie, they both scared the crap out of me!

Now a days I only find Bush particularly scary....
