The new skin trade in Iraq; something else to thank the greed and stupidity of Mr. Bush for. quote:
The Missing Girls of Iraq Sex trafficking, virtually nonexistent under Saddam Hussein, has resurfaced in Iraq. TIME reports on a seldom-discussed epidemic: girls being kidnapped and sold to brothels.

It also says that detaining prisoners of war under they way they are held in Guantanomo is illegal. I think it also bans chemical weapons such as white phosphorus. I guess none of the above applies to nuclear powers headed by religous kooks who get advice from God. No wonder Iran wants to join the club.
This is just another example of the consequences of invadig a country with too few soldiers and no plan resuts in uninteded but easily forseeable consequnces.

There was improvement for some women when we went into Afghanistan, but we've probably lost as much as was gained if not more now. It's disgusting. |

Yes. The invasion of Afghanistan was acceptable, but not enough was put into that either. Rather than doing the responsible thing by disarming all military factions there and re-establish a working police-force they pulled out and left the policing to local warlords instead. What a mess. |
