Sunday afternoon-tea-and-chat party.
I'm off to a big bikers-meet, and expect to see 1000+ bikes.
I expect to be home shortly before the scheduled chat, so I can tell you all about it.
With a little luck, I'll also have some pictures to show.

By then it'll be late evening in Europe.
Chat begins:

CET: 22:00
BST: 21:00
GMT/UTC: 20:00 (daylight saving not adjusted on GMT)
Eastern Time: 16:00
Server Time: 13:00 (daylight saving not adjusted on Server)
Pacific time: 13:00

Chat will be moderated for at least three hours, maybe longer.

Dr. Mabuse's bike trip...

Let's get the story from the beginning:

At 16:30 the meeting starts in my home town, Kumla

It's no official meeting, but rather the start of the assembly(?).
By 16:30 the first bikes arrive at Kumla town square.

And keeps building up in number until 18:00, when all bikes start the procession toward the neighbouring town where the actual meet takes place.
My first link is from the town square parking at 17:00, that is, one hour before departure.

This pic is for filthy. To remind filthy what his bike could have looked like, if he had washed and polished it at least _once_ since it was manufactured in 1947...

Notice, in comparison with his bike, that there is some chrome visible in this one...

At 18:00, the bikes start, and drives out of town square in a double file.
The noise is deafening...about 500 bikes...

In the next link, I am driving a black bike in the right lane, wearing a red jacket with some white and blue, and white helmet. I have my girlfriend in the back, all in black, she'll be waving just before we go out of sight.

I think my friend used a Canon IXUS50 to record these videos.

Then off to the other town some 40km away.

Askersund is the actual meeting place.

There were unusually few bikes at Askersund Town Square, because they are have massive road-works going on. Most bikers parked elsewhere.

The last 4 years there have always been 1000+ bikes.

You see all kinds of weird stuff at the meet.
Last year one of the Gold-Wing owners strapped up an inflatable-Barbara on the back seat.
And one guy was showing off his custom, with a V8 engine. I think they said it had somewhere around 500cui.

At 20:00 the next leg of the journey starts.
All bikes fire up, and now there's 1000+ of them.

They all drive slowly in double file out of town and to a sports arena a few miles out.
There are lots of spectators of this event.

At the sports arena there's a huge bonfire. But I've never stopped to enjoy it.
