Ah hah! Bobbie Kirkland. I had dinner with her and kind of pissed her off at one point when I explained why I identify as agnostic. I said it was a matter of my personal integrity that she took as an attack on her integrity as an atheist. I had to explain myself in order to calm her down. Otherwise the dinner went well... |

Maybe Bobbie was an "angry atheist"? |

When I first saw Ali G I didn't like it, something about the image and stuff... But the more I see these snippets, the more I like it. Cool flick, Marf. Thanks for sharing! |

It won't load, I'll try later but there was just enough to get a good laugh from the looks on the faces of the guests. |

Thanks Dave. Watching Ali G. accuse Hovind of leaving a "floater" was priceless. |

Answer: Pauly Shore, Tom Green, Ali G. Question: Who are three people I can not watch for very long?
I know it's just a character, but Ali G's constant off point interruptions I find rude rather than funny. I did find the fellow in the beard sitting next to Hovind to be enjoyable and he seemed to be enjoying himself. |

The Wikipedia entry on Hovind identifies that man only as "Joseph Coates." Whether it's famous "futurist" Joseph Coates or not, I can't say (but if it is, he's obviously lost some weight). |

The floater stuff is just too much. But I laughed my ass of at the hard-to-get-a-room-during-christmas thing. |

I don't know much about this Ali G, but have seen a few other 'interviews' of his. Seems his function is to be a junior-high'ish video shock jock. Funny, in a bathroom humor sort of way. What-will-they-think-of-next. |

Actually, I think his humor is pretty smart. His dumb as rocks image is actually just his "in," his way of being able to ask offensive or embarrassing questions to people who normally wouldn't tolerate such indignations. It takes normally smart people (or at least people who are media polished), and throws them off their game. They're unsure how they're supposed to react. "Is this guy serious or is he pulling my leg? Is he really that dumb?" I mean come on, he was able to tell Hovind with a straight face that evolution is true because Hovind like bananas! That's pure brilliance right there.
I think my favorite line was when he asked the Head of Homeland Security whether or not there was any concern terrorists may plan to crash a train into the White House. The humor lies in watching someone trying to come up with a way to tactfully answer a question like that.

Could use him/him and his tack at the next local city council meeting; stir things up a bit! Funny with the earlier link....the edits to show facial expressions, with his comment about Jesus/God having a nine incher (the Priest looked rather put out!)
