Hovind is trip! Indeed, he is such a trip that he ought to be listed in the Rand-McNally Motor Carrier's Road Atlas.
Oh, how I would love to see him bring his unique brand of mediocre pseudoscience into here. I, among many others, would welcome him with open arms and a big, snaggled grin, and these forums might shake, rattle, and roll like Elvis in his best days! <sigh> Never happen, though. A deceitful reprobate Hovind might be, but he is not a stupid, deceitful reprobate. He is not about to get involved in writing with a bunch of compulsive researchers.
Tommy gave him a decent shake-up on his blithering, but as always with Hovind, it simply slid off like a water droplet from rancid lard. To him, it was merely one more among many.

So, he has time to gallivant all over the country spouting his crap but does not have the time to engage in a thoughtful written debate. The problem with calling him is that he would undoubtedly use his famous patter to overwhelm the caller.
Hovind is coward of the first order. Basically, he ran for the hills when Tommy challenged some of his “facts”.

A phone call might actually be interesting if it were transcribed. The caller would need to be rather skilled at that sort of thing so as to a) stay focused, b) work to keep "Dr" Dino focused, and c) not loose her or his cool.
But a transcript would be great to see-- we could then disect not only Dino's lies, but also point out his dodges and misdirections! |
