...then it might look a little something like this: 10 Things I Hate About Commandments.

That's rich, thanks. I'd forgotten how much corniness was in the original movie.

Apparently, some people have re-edited a bunch of movies into trailers that make them seem like a completely different genre. I think they're awesome. Very creative.

Here's "The Shining" presented as a family movie. (If that link doesn't work for you, there is another slightly less quality version here.)

And "Sleepless in Seattle" as a suspense thriller.

Yes, H.H., I've seen those. My daughter turned me onto this new and hilarious genre. It's a perfect medium for creative people who have no studio of their own.

These are absolutely GREAT! It's amazing how a movie like "Sleepless in Seattle" can, with the right music and such, seem like a thriller. Are there more of these? Do post links, if so!!

Well, poking around some more I did find "West Side Story" as a horror film.

And this isn't a movie trailer, but I found it hilarious anyway.

BTW, Halfmooner, that is your avatar? It looks to me like Dick Cheney in a bathrobe watching TV late at night. But that can't be right, can it?

Thank you so very much. No, that's me. Cheney's more likeable, handsomer, is in better health, and can afford nice bathrobes. Me, I'm wearing an ancient, hooded nylon San Francisco '49ers jacket in that pic. (Bought back when I was a fan of the team, when Eddie DeBartolo owned it, and ran it right.)

I pretty much look like that now, too, except I ditched the moustache.

Well, it wasn't meant to be an insult! It's so small and grainy (on my screen) that I couldn't even see the 'stache! Or notice the hooded aspect of the jacket. But you do have a good Cheney scowl, it seems, which isn't a bad thing to have. Unless you use it regularly when speaking about things like taxing the wealthy or conserving oil.

Actually, Dick and I are about the same age, and many old farts like us really do start to look alike due to the relentless forces of nature. Unlike him, I have a strong and healthy heart, but I have suffered a stroke, which not only has me limping and using a cane, but has affected my mental processing as well.

The graininess of the little pic is intentional. I chose that pic precisely because it would be hard for, say, a fundie assassin to pick me out of a crowd using it. The "scowl" you note is actually my normal, poker-faced expression. I'm not one of these rubber-faced people who use their facial muscles much for communication purposes. A smile, or a frown, is something I have to consciously force. I've been that way as long as I can remember. Despite my blank expression, I really do have emotions inside.
