Soon, very soon. Maybe he will slip up and try to press 2000 pounds correctly, which will cause his spine to snap like a bone in the mouth of a Rancor.

| On reconsideration, I'm inclined to half-believe this particular claim of Robertson. If I, as a skinny 10-year-old fifty years ago could leg press 400 lbs. on a vertical leg press machine, I could probably have at that time leg-pressed 800 lbs. on a 45-degree-slope machine.
To imagine a physically healthy old man pressing a little more that twice that weight (with the mechanical assist of a 45-degree inclined plane) is not difficult, especially if he cheats a bit with his arms. (Cheating is second nature to televangelists.) Still, using Occam's Razor, lying is the most likely explanation, especially given Robertson's record.

Of course, even if Robertson did the one-ton press, it would prove nothing about Robertson's relationship with God or his "healthy" shake.

While I think beskeptigal actually meant conscience, I find it amusing to think of how fundies live without a conscious.

As Homer would say, "It's funny because it's true!"
