Oh bloody hell, I'm so jealous. This is like the coolest looking place in the world. I'm going, dammit, and you can't stop me.

Gorgeous - but way too much water. As long as I can look from a distance.

Too much water? Are you phobic, Trish? Lived on a beach all my life. I guess I take it for granted now that there will be water near.

Phobic - me? I only panic when the water hits my knees, can't breath, sink like a rock, yeah a bit phobic, maybe. The ocean is nice to look at - but it's a bit too much water.

I'm not afraid of the water, persay (is that how you spell it?), but I'm terrified of sharks. So the Australian ocean will be viewed from the beach by me, thanks, if I ever go there.
If I can't see my feet, I'm too far in...

Congradulations Geezam. Much happiness to you. And the Great Ocean Road looks exciting. Don't listen to the anti-water wussies! Ed and I are headed to St. Kitts in a couple of weeks. I plan to get nicely waterlogged. Lisa

Hey, it's all Steven Spielburg's fault!
Actually, I think I'd love snorkelling or scuba diving, as long as I could see around me and had a nice long knife or speargun handy...

The only shark I've ever seen was in the Maldive Atoll. Had to be at least a foot and a half long! Toss up on which of us was more frightened, or which was moving fastest in the opposite direction. It's been at least five years, and Ed still thinks its funny. I got mine back when the Picasso Trigger fish bit his hand. Seriously, one place I'd love to visit is Australia. Would have been easiest when we were stationed in Korea, but we were poor broke airmen at the time. Now we're retirees, so money is still a factor. That's why we stick with the Caribbean. Lisa

I know I do this and still went into the water off a diving board attempting to swim qual in the Marines. Tried making it back to the edge and was told I had to swim - needless to say they weren't real happy when they pulled me out of the water after I sank. I used to love swimming - and I know why I am afraid of the water. I'm just not going into it here.
