Perhaps this is the end times. Doesn't the Bible say something about the dead rising? Maybe "the dead" is a mis-translation of the original Greek: "extinct species".

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall that we had a thread on this one some months ago, and this is an update. Glad to see that they finlly got a live one. Looks like it'd be really good substitute for squirrel in a brunswick stew.
On an equally serious note, I've little doubt that there are many more species thought extinct that aren't. Sorta makes the term 'living fossil' a little silly, doesn't it?
Thanks, leo!

From the article:[Redfield] and Uthai Treesucon, a bird-watching colleague, befriended hunters who captured a live rock rat after four failed attempts. They returned the animal, which the locals call kha-nyou, to its rocky home after photographing it. So, they admit that the photos they have are staged (no rock rat would ever be found on a park bench naturally), so therefore evolution is false.
Edited to add: and it's still obviously of "rat kind." |

Oops... not "living". Its transitional. My bad. But there do seem to be a lot of transitional fossils being found of late. |
