Nope. I dont speak Swedish. English and 3 Indian languages is all :)

If you're Swedish then let me tell you that I think Sweden has the most progressive society ever (even including the high incidence of suicides!).
Do you live in Sweden ?!

Howdy, ssivakami!

Great to have someone from India here. It's a country I've always been fascinated by, but I'll never get to visit.

Looking forward to your input.

I suppose I should apologize for using you for a meager attempt at a joke based on another thread. Sorry.

No, I'm not Swedish, but hatten_jc is. He'll enjoy your comments about Sweden, I'm sure, just as you (and the rest of us) enjoy his comments.

There are three Indian languages? Not just dialects? This is interesting. I speak German and used to speak Russian. Some say I speak English, but there are doubters. Languages interest me; I may end up going to school within the next year for another language, but that remains to be seen.

So tell us more about Indian languages. Please.

My kids still love me.

Yeah. I've always wanted to live in a society where
1. Skeptics form > 50% of the population.
2. Science is encouraged.
3. Euthanasia, safe drugs, abortion and prostitution are legalised.
4. The growth rate is managable.
5. Marriage is rare.

Dunno if Sweden falls in that category. How about Netherlands ?

There are plenty of Indian languages. Nearly 20 (more if you count all the dialects!).
I know Hindi, Bengali and Tamilian.
Frankly I'm not too much into this learn more languages thing. Too much of brain power is used in these things. One standardised language for the whole world ... hmm, now that would be nice !
