This is almost too much to believe: quote: An exchange between Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and Justice Department legal council chief Steven Bradbury regarding prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay ended with Bradbury announcing "the President is always right," RAW STORY has learned.
Leahy had asked Bradbury about what the Department of Justice had advised the President, and how certain decisions regarding Guantanamo Bay had been made. A transcript of the rest of the exchange follows:
Could this administration and it's Justice Dept. get less competent? I swear to anyone's God that Moe, Larry, and Curly could do a better job.

The doctrine of Presidential Infallibilty (analagous to Papal Infallibilty) makes perfect "sense" in the theocracy that Bush and those pulling his strings would like to establish.
Edited to add: Since he claims to get policy advice from God he should be as infallible as the God that advises him.

I wonder if Bush thinks the paintings and staues in the Whitehouse "speak" to him.
One positive note: I like Senator Patrick Leahy's use of the term "cockamamie" for Bush's ideas! |
Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

Filthy: Things are getting stranger and stranger. I don't know what some of these Bushocrats are smokin' these days, but whatever it is....its effects either put them in the same parallel universe as G. War hisself, or into a very deep state of denial.
The latest dumb-shit stuff I hear today is that Bill O'Really? and Dr. Laura are saying that the "monsters" at the New York Times and all liberals want America to lose in Iraq.
Randi Rhodes' response to that was: the reason liberals and progressives want to oust Bush & Company is because WE WANT TO WIN in Iraq and know with these dicklicks now in office, it's not possible.
Don't forget, Pat Leahy was the U-S Senator who was told to go fuck himself by the President of the Senate...ON THE SENATE FLOOR. I guarantee you, if the president of the U-S were Patrick Leahy, we wouldn't now be up to our asses in this Bush-made morass.

Yes. Cockamamie is a word that doesn't get used nearly enough when discussing the current administration. |
