Yo:
Just THIS in
Radio Format Changes From Religion to Sex By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Published: July 27, 2006 Filed at 7:47 p.m. ET
KINGSBURG, Calif. (AP) -- KFYE-FM hasn't budged from the Fresno-area dial, but it's about as far as you can get from the Christian music, sermons and Bible stories it was broadcasting until about a week ago.
Now it calls itself ''Porn Radio'' -- ''all sex radio, all the time,'' with a suggestion that people under 21 not listen.
Songs with little in common except suggestive titles and lyrics fill the playlist, including ''Why Don't We Do It in the Road'' by The Beatles, ''Sexual Healing'' by Marvin Gaye and ''Nasty'' by Janet Jackson. Tamer songs are heated up by adding recorded moans and groans.
The change, made after the station was sold this month, was met with several non-sexual groans from some residents.
''It would appear this is another of those promotions that are simply designed to create controversy,'' longtime Fresno radio personality Ed Beckman told The Fresno Bee. ''This format belongs on Sirius or XM, not on over-the-air.''
The station tries not to cross the line, said owner Jerry Clifton.
KFYE has been playing songs in a continuous one-hour loop without commercials. Clifton wouldn't tell the Bee whether he plans to eventually switch to a more traditional format.

I'm afraid to guess what F-Y-E stands for. (Maybe: Fuck You Ever-So- Much) Sounds like pretty boring radio. But don't worry, I'm sure Jerry Falwell and God are getting an earthquake on the drawing board in order to make sure punishment is meted out as it ought to be. And there'll probably be a surprise visit to the Fresno area by Kevin Martin.
OY!

Yeah. I've never heard about anyone getting off to just songs about sex. If music was good for that specifically, then why is the music in porno films always so bad?

Oh, like the scripting is any better.
Let's face it, Marf. If you're watching a porno film, it ain't for the music or dialogue. It ain't high art.

If porn were high art, it couldn't be porno since the definition of porno is visuals, audio and literature which is intended to sexually arrouse and has no artistic merit.
Although... if we get really picky we can say that everything people create has some artistic merit. Some pornos score pretty high on on the scale of amusement. |

I have a problem saying whether or not something has artistic merit. I'm just saying that such films are not engaging on more than one level.
The over-synthesized cheezy pop music, vapid and wooden speech by the actors and actresses, plot added as afterthought and poorly done.
Some of these are so bad that they are unintentionally humerous.

I read somewhere that the biggest difference between porn and art is an NEA grant........

Reminds me of a Univ. Texas goof around group called the Knighthood of BUH. http://studentorgs.utexas.edu/buh/
One of their earlier slap-happy shenanigans was called "Porno for Bibles"...a booth on campus to trade in your bible and get some porno. Read on.... http://studentorgs.utexas.edu/buh/bibleporn.html
