Futurama's Professor Farnsworth might be delighted that his bitter rival's prize-winning invention is being ignored, but surely Ogden Wernstrom deserves the credit for coming up with the original of the "Terranaut." Wernstrom invented his "Reverse SCUBA Suit" for his ambulatory fish, Cinnamon, though it might be mentioned that he did/will invent it a thousand years in the future.
Now an artist, Seth Weiner, presents the idea as though it's his own!: quote:
A Blood Parrot fish gets his first taste of life on land, wheeling around in this luxurious fishbowl-on-wheels. Here's how it works: a camera mounted above the tank captures a stream of images. This information is worked over by the onboard computer. Finally, the direction of motion is determined and the wheels move in the direction that the fish is swimming...
