OY Sez: I wonder if Somerset is near a nuclear reactor. They'd better call in Mulder and Scully to check this out!

Agents from KFC will probably make an offer to buy the bird. They'll be after the genetic code in order to produce more drumsticks.

I found another article, with images.

Here's a closeup of Henrietta
being held by Ashley. The chicken
is healthy despite its deformity.

Alas, the rear set of legs is not functional, but are merely dragged behind her. No information was provided as to whether the hen has wings also. I am left to guess that it does have wings, making Henrietta a six-limbed creature.

It makes me cluck in disapproval when otherwise intelligent skeptics merely cackle and post cold, stale chicken jokes about Henrietta. Though there is only a poultry amount of information so far available about this bird, clearly the matter should be addressed seriously by the free-ranging minds here. Are we now so intellectually chicken that we won't take time to sit for a moment to incubate some scientific thoughts?

And, when will we see Henrietta trotted out by some Creationist museum as some kind of chicken-shit disproof of Darwin?

Why did Henrietta cross the road? To escape the cruel laughter of skeptics!

YO: Here I'm trying to make a statement about radioactivity and the danger it poses to genetic make up, and all I get is a brood of chicken-pluckin' comedians.

But I think we should try to keep it down so Colonel Sanders doesn't try to re-create the greasy chicken biz.

Hmmmm…I wonder, maybe KFC will be more open to your advice and take your words to heart folks. In light of these genetic enhancements for poultry, maybe they'll be promoting healthier meals, with a broader, international appeal.
KFC might see the big international implications of this four-legged birdie and introduce a new teriyaki four-legged jumbo plate!
On second thought, that's too much enhancement. Here's a more appetizing bowl o'legs.

Look closely at the staining around the second set of legs.....

That bird is going to end up on display in a casino!

Strange that the first mention of it is a 4-legged full-grown chicken...... And not a chick.....

Four wings would be better. The chicken could fly twice!

And no, this is not a hijack attempt..... or is it?

Somerset, NY is just north of Buffalo.
