Many of you have probably already seen this, but I found this disturbing. Especially since Rush still has an audience who eat this stuff up.

Rush Limbaugh is a vile, slimey blob of rancid blubber. But I think.... I think....
I think that this time he's gone a little too far. Michael J. Fox is a very popular guy. Rush just might have stepped on his pecker (as opposed to having children in the Dominican Republic step on it for him) and alienated some of that audience along with the bulk of the rest of the country. He might also have dropped a large, brown one on the Republicans.
One hopes...

Before I say anthing I just want to say that I think Rush is wrong and the Michael Fox has more credibility than Rush. I do not beleive Fox was acting or not on medication at the time.
With that said, why didn't the reporter go into any facts about the disease? He needed to get experts on the disease to come and say what the disease does and how the medication interacts with the disease. And show why Rush is wrong. Instead he gets another person that agrees with him and they go on to bash Rush and republicans in general. They also do not play the words to the add that is against government funding of stem cell research. They seem to assume that Rush is wrong without any concrete evidence. This is poor reporting in my estimation and just par for the course on both sides. |

I actually saw a different report where the reporter actually sat down with a doctor who studies the disease and explained the problems with Rush's analysis. Especailly since some of the drugs that are used to treat the condition can at times exacerbate the uncontrolled tremors and body movements of the condition.
The doctor's take was that Rush had no expertice in the field and had no concept of the effect of the condition or drugs to treat it.
