Geeze, Louise, will the good news never cease? First Hovind, now Coulter?

Turns out that Ann Coulter, the maniacal liar and NeoCon mudslinger, refuses to answer questions concerning having allegedly voted illegally in a precinct in which she did not reside.
quote:
WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (AP) -- Conservative columnist Ann Coulter has refused to cooperate in an investigation into whether she voted in the wrong precinct, so the case will probably be turned over to prosecutors, Palm Beach County's elections chief said Wednesday.

Elections Supervisor Arthur Anderson said his office has been looking into the matter for nearly nine months, and he would turn over the case to the state attorney's office by Friday.

. . .

Knowingly voting in the wrong precinct is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

. . .

YO, HalfMooner: No doubt about the legal trouble for the Coultergeist....couldn't happen to a nicer guy. What an unhappy bitch she must be.

Oh, she's probably happy. No doubt she's smoking some of that primo testosterone-methadrine crack-pot of hers from a golden hookah filled with holy water. That stuff that keeps her so nice and slim.

I read about that yesterday and find myself, not surprised, but more than somewhat bemused. All she had to do was to simply go in and say, "Aw shit, I screwed up, ! Terribly sorry 'bout that. Let's get this straightened out." And the matter would have likely been resolved in minutes, if everybody acts in good faith. But instead of suffering a little minor embarrassment, she chooses to lawyer up and drag the whole thing out, wasting great chunks of her own time & money as well as the state's.

I wonder; is it merely a symptom stemming from her obvious arrogance, or outright insanity?

Free publicity.

She'll probably claim it was accidental at some point, but she gets her name in the headlines and has new material about how the evil atheist evolutionist jews are persecuting her for an innocent mistake.

Why can't it be both?

Oooooh. I KNOW this one.....

Because the FEC has no teeth, has been hamstrung by budget cuts, and it takes that long for a complaint to wheedle down through the red tape.

Getting the FEC to DO their jobs almost requires that the person filing the complaint either pay for the investigation themselves or at least gather the evidence themselves.

Plus there's that whole Diebold thing they've been actively ignoring and being pressed on.
