I'd never heard of this condition before and the sheer weirdness factor of it promted me to post this. Can you imagine having sex while sleeping - and I don't mean someone violating you while you are unconcious. You initiate it. You "want" it. New Scientist ran a special on it (28th Oct, 2006) and I just have to share this quote with you: "She was alerted to her husband's problem when she realised he was snoring loudly during sex"............ Maybe he was just bored...?

METHINKS IT IS LIKE A WEASEL

Heard of it? I used to think I'd invented it. It's happened several times with me. Never got any complaints, except for the times my dreaming changed from sex to, say, flying. And I've actually woken myself up by snoring while "engaged."

Acknowledging that the degree of sleep is a fair matter for debate in this matter, I think the phenomenon is actually quite common.

Hehe

To make the story short, when she and her boyfriend woke up the following morning, he asked "Was it as good for you as it was for me?" and she asked him what he was talking about...

Hmm. I've gotten that reaction from a lover who wasn't sleeping.
