Not a hard time but some minimal inconvenience to some others but not to myself, for being out of the herd, what you might consider calling a nonconformist or individualist; when everyone has to dress to the latest trends or sport some personal decor, yours truly don't but keep to my own comfortable wear and frugal embellishment, read that none.
So, maybe I am acting my character also in forums and in the process getting the goat of a lot of people here who are conditioned to be adversarial and confrontational and all worked up reading a statement of fact when all I am saying is some idea in my mind which I would like to share with others for their reactions, hopefully they can enrich my world of thoughts and musings.
Clearly, you are either self decieved about your motives or unbelievably dense. Non conformist or not, most people can get along with most other people fairly easily. In any case, you expressed your ideas for which you have no evidence "Skeptics are soft of Buddhism" "Hair grows indefinitely without the use of shears" and now "Defecating in the middle of camp is a bad idea, religion thought of it first."
In all of those areas, you were shown to be wrong with evidence. It is only in the area of Buddhism that you persist to defend the position you admit you cannot. Indicating you are particularly obsessed with Buddhism. You even intend to bring Buddhism into the discussion about feces. Clearly, when others show you to be wrong, you do not change your opinion to fit the data. I think maybe you think that opinions do not require evidence and one can have any opinion one wishes. Sadly, this is not the case. One may have any preference they wish, but not any opinion less he become irrational about that area. You, sir, have shown yourself to be unskeptical, and particularly irrational about Buddhism. That is well within the defined condition of obsession.

Facts! Pssh, you can prove anything even remotely true with facts. - Homer Simpson
[God] is an infinite nothing from nowhere with less power over our universe than the secretary of agriculture. - Prof. Frink
Lisa: Yes, but wouldn't you rather know the truth than to delude yourself for happiness? Marge: Well... um.... [goes outside to jump on tampoline with Homer.] |
