A group of doctors did a supposedly unbiased study that showed when paients were prayed for they had a higher rate of recovery than the if they were not prayed for. They took people I believe in Intensive Care and assigned them to two groups randomly and had a church pray for some specifically and not others and found that the ones prayed for recovered faster and died less often the unprayed for ones. It was in a Medical Journal and will be tested further to see if the families of the patients were also praying ect...

I know that my religous patients pray and die or get better the same as the other ones. I also see very religous patients very anxious at the thought of death because they are afraid they weren't good enough to go to heaven. If by some reason they do get unquestionable data that having someone prayed for does work then I think they should do a study about positive based energies in general because to me that is all it could be. If they find God I will let you know.

What would make me angry if I were God is when someone prayed for their sports team to win. Everytime I see a baseball player cross him self at bat it is everything I can do to not roll my eyes because my hubby gets upset with me. I just think that if you pray it should be for something big not something like winning a game so you you can get endorsements.

This isn't the first time that you have mentioned "energy." What energy are you talking about. Potential or kinetic? Heat, electric or what?

The only Christian football players are the wide receivers and running backs. They cross themselves and point toward Heaven when they cross the goal line. But you don't see that happen with defensive tackles when they grind the quarter back into the turf. Obviously, those men are Satanic.

Some of these prayer studies were performed under funding from the Templeton Foundation, whose primary objective is to bring science and religion into alignment and awards scientists for proving religion. Koenig received $1 million for his prayer study. However, his data are flawed. He splits groups one way in the original groupings and splits them differently for final outcome.

And in some of the studies, patients with potentially better outcomes, specifically heart disease study, were placed in the prayed for group. Placement was not all that random.

The reason behind this, most of those conducting the studies support the theory of prayer.

There is no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our world. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've known. Sagan
