Tacos, screendoors, even a chocolate stain, have been touted as bearing miraculous images. Now a Milwaukee woman has spotted Jesus in an old tree stump in her backyard.

Of course, the thing I find most interesting is the fact that Jesus never looks Jewish to these people. I may be mistaken, but wouldn't it be logical to assume that, if this guy did exist, he would look a lot like everybody else in that geographical region?

I suppose when it rains, the image miraculously sheds tears.

I keep reading about this sort of thing, an image of Jesus and/or Mary, or a cruciix, I guess 7 or 8 times a year. It might appear on anything from a dirty window to a rose petal, to a rust stain in a public urinal (I've never heard of this last, but I'm hoping).

People will come for miles around to cause traffic problems while seeing it. Most of these are, of course, natural phenomenia. Some are outright scams.

I gets a chuckle out of it every time. Phineas T. was dead on.

I do recall hearing about a Jesus image appearing in the rust on an old oil storage tank. Makes sense. He's from the Middle East.

Ah, looks more like Charles Manson to me.

Check yer local Skeptics Dictionary for "pareidolia" for a run down on these so-called events.
