My boy just turned 18 on the 18th of Jan. He's 6' tall, I'm 5'. Now I can neither tell him to sit down OR shut up. He tells me and there's nothing I can do about it.
Oh, hush. You're your son's parent. You can tell him what to do until you're both old and grsy. About the only thing I'd say he has going for him is that he's 18. He could move out, if he wanted to, but he's still under your roof, right?

Thanks for the advice James, it's a long story. If you really want to talk or know more about it, you can email me but NO, I can't really do anything about the situation. His father does not back me up on anything so Sky thinks he can get away with anything. He would like to move out but doesn't have a job. LOL, in fact his father would like to move out too but money is a problem. Guess things have to get worse before anyone makes a move.
I hate those clichés but we have what some would call a dysfunctional family.
So my advice to Val and anyone else who wants to have a communication with their 'loved ones', don't make any mistakes! Or they'll hate you and never let you forget it.

I can't believe I missed this thread.
Congratulations.
All the bad stuff people tell you about having kids is well worth it. I would not trade mine for anything not even everlasting life. Enjoy.

Congratulation Valiant Dancer. You two have done extremely well.
I am still practicing myself....I keep telling Fiona that I haven't got it quite right yet. God bless her for letting me practice with her too. I keep promising that I'll get there in another year or so........lol
