This is an extremely well-done parody from LarkNews (sort of a moderate Christian version of The Onion). My kind of humor.
The premise is that Jack Chick buys the rights to several newspaper comic strips, converting them to his twisted purposes.
The new Garfield:
I also likes the part in the text about Dagwood hauled before the throne of God, and having to account for his gluttony and sloth.

Halfmooner, YO! I need to ask you: Do you really like this cartoon? I think I'd like it a lot more if the "new" author of the strip would make some creavtive link in his text or drawing to the fact that Garfield and the new characters in his panels aren't real.
There would be a continuing challenge doing it that way, I believe.

Great find, Halfmooner. This one's also great.

Yeah, I like it, OY. It shows lazy old, self-centered Garfield, plus some authentically Jack Chick type demonic characters. Most readers of LarkNews expect everything to be false there, just as you guys have learned to expect at Moonscape News. I thin folks generally "get it." Too much explaining would ruin the parody, though.
I think it's fine parody, but can think of no way to prove it with citations.

Gotta love that one, especially coming from Christians. Those LarkNews guys aren't all bad, since their sense of humor embraces themselves as well as others. No authoritarian personality stuff.
