Driving age in CO is 16 and they're talking about increasing it to 17 except in rural CO where you can petition for a limited permit at 14.

Except for Denver, and maybe Boulder, isn't ALL of Colorado rural? :P

I know, I know, that's a lot coming from a Kansan, lol. Compared to some other cities, I'd even call downtown KC 'rural' and I'm one of the few natives that agree that KC is a cow town :)

Dammitt I keep hitting the "insert code" button instead of the "insert quote" button... For some reason the number sign looks more like what a quote button should look like to me then the quote button does, lol.

Prions are a fine example of a leathal mutation fer sure...

I agree...Computer Org is probably PrionPatch, and is probably not related to Piper.

I'm finding Computer_Org to be more and more annoying. It is constantly assuming different handles (Gauss for example), sometimes to support it's own arguements. It was slightly humorous once, it isn't anymore. Computer_Org is like a character out of a Colin Wilson book; claims to be a supergenius but leaves an impression with the reader of a K-Mart Shopper on a three-day binge.

I am a K-Mart Shopper on a three-day binge; at least I have no pretensions of grandeur.

Well Denver seems to have grown considerably over the last few years. There are a few feilds left where I am, but those are fast turning into houses. And Boulder is just plain weird, ya know. As for Kansas I've driven across it three times, during the day, at night and during a rainstorm. Of the three the rainstorm was by far the most interesting trip.

Okay, I'd figured Gauss and Computer Org were one in the same, but you think Patch is also the same person? I hadn't gotten that. Maybe I should go back and re-read some posts. I think Piper is just a lone nutcase. You're right about Gauss/Computer Org's posts. I've been on that board, what, maybe a little less than three months, and I've noticed his posts getting more and more bizzare. I've pretty much stopped reading them.

That's my fault, I have relatives in Boulder :P
My great aunt, she's in her 90s, lives in Boulder. That's really the only part of CO I know and haven't been there since I was a kid... As for the ride across Kansas, even I hate that :P

Same here. At least Hub' is mostly harmless. I'm waiting for Gauss, Computer Org, and Patch to get in a flame war with each other :)

I've asked this question before about HUb' - I seem to recall a couple of posts months ago about this entity by other folks on the BABB claiming that it is a quasi-AI program that randomly responds to posts on the board and creates some kind of message based on what has been posted. Sometimes the response actually makes sense; other times, it is complete nonsense.

Phil, if you're checking this thread out, can you comment on HUb'?

What can I say about HUb'? At one point I started delting HUb''s posts to see what would happen. A fairly coherent reply came from HUb' about having been deleted from other boards, so I stopped. I am not convinced HUb' is not an AI program, but what the heck. HUb's isn't antagonistic.

and, every once in a while, there's a glimmer of something intelligible there.

Reading HUb's posts, I always feel like Turing must have, the first time he was given an Enigma code to crack.

HUb' is like "The Daily Puzzle". It can be rather relaxing to sift through it's posts for pearls of coherency. I rather liked the post about the transistion states of halogenation.

Oh, the heady joys of anti-addition!

Nah, it's all the new age whackos up there. That and it's the only town I know that's outlawed smoking in bars. LOL! They've even outlawed smoking on the street and are trying to outlaw smoking in your car. I know I'm trying to quit, but that's going a little too far.

I can actually make sense of HUb' on occassion. I enjoy reading it's posts. Wonder if HUb' will still post there if the board changes significantly?

Do you mean that it's really wide? I've noticed that too, but thought it was just my computer.

Good grief. I have asthma really bad and I'm deathly allergic to cigarette smoke and not sorry to see it outlawed in resturants and such, but outside and in your own damn car???
