I do not know if this is the right place for this subject. It could have been placed in bad science to.
Yesterday in Paris the church of scientology was comdamned by the court for false pretences, they will have at least to pay the victims. And it is not impossible that the court decide to dissolve scientology church.
(I apologize for the imprecision in legal vocabulary translation but it is definetly not my field)
There is hope my friends!

Yeah, I just read about that. Apparently, it's not a done deal, yet, but there's indeed hope.
I doubt if this'll shut down the church(?) in France, though. About the only thing that'll accomplish that is if there is a huge loss of membership. Outlawing them won't work, either. They'll just scream persecution and go underground.
But, it's nice to see them get kicked in the teeth now and then.

What is interesting is that it is a result of a law from 2001 so we can expect this kind of things to happen more often with other sects.

This is a risk but at least we can hope that it will prevent some people to join this group. I am probably too optimistic. We will see in May.
