My kid, wonderful child, has again made the Honor Roll (3.76) and has again received a Student of the Month award. Which considering at midterms first tri-mester in school she had an F in Language Arts she's done really well.

Tell her to keep up the good work. Language proficiency is highly correlated with IQ, grades, etc.

She reads at, according to her teachers, a post-grad level. She just can't stand reading and then trying to make her read material that she has no interest in...doesn't really work well.
Yeah, she worked hard, again her teachers have said they've never had a child pull their grades up that far that quick. Inside three weeks she pulled the F to a C and then in 3 more weeks to an A.
