I know any Autotune is a nightmare for Kil, but there's gotta be a special Hell set aside for whoever made this.
|
| Actually, there are some non-Autotuned notes in there (in the instrumental part), so it isn't a complete nightmare. |

Funniest thing ever? Shakezula, in a post titled "Liberal hypocrisy exposed!!," links to a tweet by Jack Posobiec that is an apparently serious alt-right response to this week's events surrounding celebratory statues of traitors to the United States. The tweet states, "Trump Supporters Demand Marxist Statue of Lenin Must Be Torn Down," and includes a video showing seven (count them!) people picketing a statue of Vladimir Lenin, holding signs which say:- Tear it down
- 100 million dead
- Marxism = Bigotry
- Lenin is Hitler
- Alt-Left Hate
- Millions killed, displaced, robbed by Lenin
While Jack (in the MAGA T-shirt) leads them around in a little circle chanting "hey hey, ho ho, Marxism has got to go" and "hate statue" and "tear it down."
Commenters on Jack's Twitter thread have pointed out that if they'd had one more protester, they might have had to push two tables together at the nearby restaurant, and maybe even faced the anti-freedom automatic 18% gratuity, for the after party. Other commenters wonder why these people don't have jobs, and still others point out that perhaps holding a sign and walking for Jack was their job that day. One commenter said, "Christopher Guest couldn't make a funnier parody of these guys than their own video if he tried for a decade."
More importantly, the commenters point out that the statue is on private property in Seattle, and so the protest is obviously a part of what Shakezula calls the "dumbocracy." The anti-confederate statue crowd in the U.S. is opposed to celebrating treason in defense of slavery on public property, like the statue of Robert E. Lee in a public park in Charlottesville that had supporters and protesters rioting this past weekend, or the numerous roads in the south named after Jefferson Davis (I drove a mile on one of them today, because I desperately needed gasoline). Shakezula points out, "But it isn’t their fault that Lenin statues on public property are a bit thin on the ground in the U.S." |

Jess Dweck posted the following image three times:
And she said, in order:Listen, I know this isn't helpful to the discourse and won't fix our problems but LOOK AT THIS SAD RACIST LOSER
When you realize winning in real life is harder than on the internet
I would watch a 12-hour Ken Burns documentary about this photo

My personal favorite, which I can't get through without giggling, won the "Adventure" category:Leopold looked up at the arrow piercing the skin of the dirigible with a sort of wondrous dismay -- the wheezy shriek was just the sort of sound he always imagined a baby moose being beaten with a pair of accordions might make.

That being said, these new episodes are very much in the spirit of the show I used to love, and I have enjoyed this more than anything new that I have seen in probably a decade. |
