Should Evolutionists Be Allowed to Vote?
- They do not and can not know the purpose for Man. In
fact, all of them believe Man has no purpose.
- Therefore, they cannot make informed judgments about
how men should behave toward each other, or what would be "good" or "bad" for any group of men to do, or not do.
- Thus, they have no sane foundation upon which to base
#8220;laws#8221; or rational for insisting that other men obey the laws.
- Thus, the religion they profess to believe renders them incapable
of participating in any decision about what men ought to do. But, that is the purpose of all law.
- Therefore, in a sane society, evolutionists should not be allowed
to vote, or influence laws or people in any way!
They should, perhaps, make bricks to earn enough to eat. Q.E.D. - Quod Erat Demonstrandum |
Earlier on, he uses this reasoning:
Evolutionism was/is the apologetic foundation for the faith of predatory capitalism, Germany in WWI, the USSR (from 1918 to this day), NAZI Germany, Fascism in other European countries, and Socialism in all of Eastern Europe beginning about 1945. It was also a major justification in the defense of slavery in the 1800's against Christian opponents. In those nations evolutionist, anti-Christian, anti-creationists killed more people, from the late 1800's to today, than all the wars combined for the last 2000 years. Evolution formed the apologetic framework for justifying the harshest of cruelties during this period as well. |
Never mind the xian roots of anti-semitism, this guy doesn't seem to care that in the 20th century there were a lot more people, and a lot more efficient weapons. If the dark ages had that, I'd wager that numerically, the religions rate of killings would be higher.
Notice how they never take those factors into account?

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

If they did account for those factors (in this and other aspects of their lives), then they wouldn't be fundie apologists. |

The thing that absolutely kills me about the "atheists cannot have morals since they believe morality is subjective," (which is really the same argument as the above "[evolutionists] have no sane foundation upon which to base laws), is that theists somehow think their belief in god exempts them from this. But if god doesn't exist, then the morals of those who believe he does would be just as subjective as everyone else. It's like they're saying "If atheists are right, then my morals would be subjective too. I refuse to admit this, since I believe my morals are god-given, therefore I must be right."
Similarly, if evolution is true and it means there can be no sane foundation for laws, then that would apply whether one believes evolution is true or not. Willis seems to think you can change reality if you find its implications sufficiently uncomfortable.

If these bastards ever try to take away my vote, they better know how to dodge buckshot. And I'm deadly serious about that.

| Yes indeed.
To carry the matter to it's maybe-conclusion, let's disenfranchise all Bible literalists. After all, the OT version of God was a bloody-minded, utterly insane scumbag that came up with some of the most ridiculous 'laws' ever brought into being. And then we can go for the IDists, who continually attempt to subvert education with outright lies. In fact, anyone professing any sort of fundamentalist religion should be made to stay home on Election Day. There. See how it works; goose & gander, eh?

| Erm, who's Michelle? Yours or Obama's? Both seem to be impressive ladies and would make a good tag-team.
I am a life member of long standing in the UMF of America, an organization dedicated to repealing the 19th Amendment. Unfortunatly, study showed this to be a daunting task, so, daunted, we cooked a pig and drank some beer. What the hell, taken all in, the chicks are smarter'n we are, anyway.

I was thinking about the woman who is still sleeping in the next room. Not Obama's. But you're right. The Michelle defense (or offense) might be the way to go. Gather up a few Michelle's and just stand back!!!

The really ironic aspect to this is that strong theistic belief which includes the belief that your god has handed down morality from above is inconsistent with the idea that people would be making decisions about proper behavior. The decisions have already been made & passed down on stone tablets or some such. Those laws are "all law", end of story; no voting, no democratic process, no discussion, no rational thought needed (or accepted).
