Check out the story here.
Weinstein, a Jewish attorney and former counsel to President Ronald Reagan, made headlines in 2005 when he filed suit against the Air Force, claiming it imposed evangelical Christianity on academy cadets in violation of their constitutional rights.
The suit was dismissed because the plaintiffs were no longer cadets.
A group founded by Weinstein, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, filed a new suit in March that claimed the entire military is violating the religious liberties of servicemen and women. |
"These people are cowards," said Weinstein, whose story has been publicized on national talk shows and in newspapers across the country.
It is also featured in a recently released documentary, "Constantine's Sword," by Oscar-nominated documentarian Oren Jacoby.
The film's Web site says it "focuses on Christian anti-semitism as the model for all religious hatred, exposing the cross as a symbol of a long history of violence against Jews." |
The story I imagine would be the guy's previous work within his foundation; this vandalizism is too new to be put in it.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

I would think that some of the increasing numbers of white supremacist/neo-Nazis in the military got upset at a Jewish lawyer that was, at they saw it, attacking the Army and Christianity. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I'm highly doubtful that the Bush Administration is interested in investigating and breaking up these racist/antisemitic gangs. Largely, because that would be very close to investigating themselves.
Such neo-Nazi gangs always seem to thrive under the implied support of conservative administrations, as when they blossomed under Reagan. The overlapping of the Dominionist wing-nut fundy element in Bush's NeoCon base (who are being rewarded by the sectarianization of the military) with the outright Nazi skinhead supporters of "Christian Identity" groups is probably clear enough to the NeoCons and the skinheads, if not to the casual observer.
The heavy-handed "Christianization" of the military is a huge danger to our nation's future. If this trend runs its course, it sets up the possibility (I would even say, inevitability) of eventual rightist military coups in the future. This needs to be fought, tooth and nail, uniting all forces that support Constitutional, secular freedom.
