YO:

When surfing the cable channels, I always swing by Fox for a few seconds just to see what the hell they've come up with to 'cover' that neither of the other two channels are. Seldom do they disappoint.

This morning's Few Seconds with Fox found a segment about to conclude with a Fox female anchor and a African-American gentlemen---whom I took to be of the clergy. The two were just saying their 'good bys and thank yous' to the other as I got there. But I was able to read the segment slate just under their images:

"Can Prayer Help Lower the Price of Gas?"

Please discuss among yourselves.

The answer is no. My bank account provides the data points.

Pray in one tank and pump gas in another; then, whilst you're signing over your Social Security check to the station owner, his distributer, and Exon/Mobile, think about which tank filled up first.

This has happened here in NC (thus it should come as no suprise) several times that I know of. A dedicated group of otherwise sane folks got together at various gas stations, waved some Bibles, and prayed to beat thunder. Evidently, all it did was piss God off with all the whining because gallons continue their march toward a fin per, and probably beyond. But, anything's worth a try, I suppose.
