| Great article, Dave. I don't even watch that show and I was laughing. And god damn this image from that website cracked me up:

That's funny, but probably not what actually happened.
I remember John Steward showing a video of him greeting all the world leaders individually, you know. Exiting the door, climbing down three steps, shaking a hand and going back inside just to do the exact same thing again two minutes later for the next visitor.
 Silly protocol and all that.

If this video was taken the same day, then, indeed, the foreign head of states were not to shake his hand a second time...
 Retarded protocol but nothing significant.
No matter how disliked Bush is, people are still going to play the game of diplomatic protocol.

| Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
 Carl Sagan - 1996

| Ben Stein has been consistently wrong for some time now. I think it's time to revive his game show Win Ben Stien's Money only this time the contestant gets to beat the shit out of Ben Stein and take his wallet... |

| That's very well thought out. Though it does require some patient reconnoitering to make sure the proper conditions are in place.| Originally posted by Dave W.
