You guys are gluttons for punishment.
Seriously.
That guys has been beaten near to death with the stupid-stick, and you are "debating" him.
Takes more intestinal fortitude than I have!

Dunno about the stupid, but he seems to have received an healthy dose of the 'I am too arrogant to even consider I might be wrong and to consider the other side's arguments' stick. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. Good job Dave, I must say. |

Great. It looks like he's trying to lie about what my question to him was so he can claim that he did answer it after all.
This is my reply to that |

Dave, his very last reply still leaves evolution as the best explanation for the diversity of life. It also leaves it as a theory which he was arguing against, I think.
The point is many transitional forms did fossilize and were found in the proper strata, which supports the theory. Gaps yet to be filled do not falsify it. It's true that some speciation gaps will probably always exist. But really, that is a bit of a so what, given the number transitionals that do exist.
Basically, you win...
I doubt if he can make his mouth or the words he types on a page admit that. But I don't see how anyone reading the debate can come to another conclusion. |
Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
Why not question something for a change?

Well, slightly off topic, but me and some other guys are engaging the owner of the blog that Pvlbivs and I were arguing on in the first place (not Pvlbiv's own blog like Dave is doing). |

Evidently, I am not appreciated there, as my donation to reason has yet to appear. Oh well, one more amongst many.
And besides, at this point, anything I might come up with would be redundant, so it's small enough loss.
Hey Dave, thanks for the Devonian Bunny mention. I didn't come up with that legendary lagomorph, but have adopted it for my own, anyway.

Good grief, is this guy dumb. I've replied to him here. You'll see what I mean. |

Thanks. Well, for the hell of it, it looks like he's added plate tectonics to the list.
Zilch:
Even though I suspect you were hoping I wouldn't see your question. I am skeptical of the large-scale movements. I have to be. People can make their best guesses for what the pattern of the Earth used to be. But there is no way to test them. The data that one would use to "test" a pattern are the same data used to construct the pattern. Of course, there is nothing that depends on the estimations of the large-scale movements being correct. |
He gets smacked down right quick for that. It's ironic: He's no more religious than any of us are. Just look at his comments in that post.
Even atheists can have gaps in their reasoning processes too.
