It's a doozy!
The pastor, Ed Kalnins, and Masters Commission students have traveled to South Carolina to participate in a "prophetic conference" at Morningstar Ministries, one of the major ministries of the Third Wave movement. Becky Fischer was a pastor at Morningstar prior to being featured in the movie "Jesus Camp." The head of prophecy at Morningstar, Steve Thompson, is currently scheduled to do a prophecy seminar at the Wasilla Assembly of God. Other major leaders in the movement have also traveled to Wasilla to visit and speak at the church.

The Third Wave is a revival of the theology of the Latter Rain tent revivals of the 1950s and 1960s led by William Branham and others. It is based on the idea that in the end times there will be an outpouring of supernatural powers on a group of Christians that will take authority over the existing church and the world. The believing Christians of the world will be reorganized under the Fivefold Ministry and the church restructured under the authority of Prophets and Apostles and others anointed by God. The young generation will form "Joel's Army" to rise up and battle evil and retake the earth for God.
And that ain't the half of it. These religious whackos are the virtual reencarnation of all that was foul in the churchs in Middle Age Europe and hope/plan to take the world back to that same, benighted era. Do you think Dobson's a douchebag? Hah! Read on and see exactly what John McCain would foist upon us in his administration.

And that's enough about Sarah Palin. It's not so much she that is a threat -- she's useful for photo ops but expendable -- but those who would sink to any depth to gain office.

Yeah, this Palin is bad news. Also keep in mind that McCain was sucking up to John Hagee until he finally said some things that went too far for the politically correct crowd.

Myers has a weird youtube video on his blog that shows some of this.

For the love of reality, I hope you americans don't screw this election up...I know the world can count on the SFN members at least!

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

But my understanding is that her pastor has never seen her speak in tongues. So everything's OK!

(But wouldn't it be awesome if someone actually had footage of that?!?)

I'd thought she was just fluff, eye candy for the ultra-Christian yahoos, but I was wrong. Oh, she's eye candy all right, but she's smart, tough, ambitious, and mean as hell.

There's been so many crap rumors floating around about her that I checked Snopes on this story, even though it's a site I trust and they put up the Snopes link themselves.
This viral email about Sarah Palin is actually real

John Aravosis (DC) · 9/08/2008 10:20:00 PM ET

A reader just wrote me about this email - it's been making the rounds, I've gotten numerous copies in the past week - and I seemed to recall that this email was actually real. And it is. Check out Snopes.com - they are THE independent site on the Internet for snooping out urban myths - Snopes says the letter is real. The woman who authored it has posted her own blog over at the Huffington Post. Here is her email in full. For some reason, this email about Palin has struck a chord with people. I recommend you copy and send this post to your friends, or use the "send to a friend" link under the title of this post (it's the link that looks like a small white envelope with an arrow in it). This one you can send around with the certainly that it's for real:
Ig, we're probably gonna fuck it up again, unless Obama gets his ugly on and shreds McCain like like a kim-chee cabbage. Let's hope he gets it in gear soon, or Canada might find itself with another political refugee.

Yeah I'm strangely nauseous about her being at all involved in our presidential race.

I think that most Americans would feel the same.

Sure, there are some that share her lunacy, but most people, I think, are moderate Christians.
They just think that Palin is a conservative Christian, and they agree with that.

But they do not realize to what point she is conservative (like, conservative by the standards of tenth century Europe) and I'd expect most people to be uncomfortable with that.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Well, some others, if you'll check out the links in the article I just linked, are also worried.

And Phil Plait reminds us why supporters of science, something vital to our nation's very survival (yes, science is that thing, not religion) that has been in freefall for eight solid years, have a friend in Obama. These are the kinds of facts that need to be cutting through the media noise right now. Spread 'em far and wide.

Yeah but to me it's more a question of her absurd trajectory. It is stranger than fiction thats for sure...and it seems so steep and sudden as to defy the laws of nature.

I don't know. . . in our country, people have a right to freely pick their religions, just as they are allowed to freely pick their noses.

What bothers me are some of Governor Palin's friends:

Don't worry, we will. I'm starting to wonder if we really are in the Matrix....seems to be the only rational explanation.

No, I don't think I'm necessarily smarter. But I think some of "us" are at least arguably funnier than authoritarian people who inherently cannot abide humor, and see everything (even including mythical sky people) in sharp, black-and-white.

Robb, seriously: Did you think I was actually trying to link Palin and Hitler? (I mean, shouldn't I have made Hitler just a bit older to look convincing?) Or are you pulling my leg, too?

Perhaps Sarah Palin is really the Antichrist and not Obama as this site suggests. Of course it is hard to take seriously web sites that are done in crayon.
