Ok, here's the photo, in focus for a change I might add:
And another, not so well focused:
And finally, another taken at the site that will give a sense of scale:
Now read the article and wonder, as I often do, to my despair, how people can be that stupid and still manage to feed themselves and even, Evolution help us 'cause God has collapsed in hopeless hysterics, procreate.

This is a hoax, right? Right? Even a single glance at the first picture, without any comparative photos showing the "creature" to be cat sized, clearly shows it is a cat. |

| And not just a cat, but a kitty-cat.
| And quite a handsome one, too.
But they are actually serious about big cats in at least parts of the British Isles. Every now and then, we read about another, slightly paniced, sighting. You might think of it as their version of Bigfoot. And of course, tabloids like The Sun pump them for all they're worth.
At least it's an actual animal rather than a fantasy, and there have been a few out-of-place species found, same as over here.

Just looking at the first picture I thought that it looked more like a household cat than a bigger specimen... The ears seemed too big. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Indeed. Most larger cats also have ears that are more rounded, instead of household cats which by and large have more pointed ears. |

It's a fairly large but still ordinary moggie that doesn't look like it's missed many meals. The pictures make it look a little larger than it is until you see the scale, but even those don't make it look as big as a panther (melanistic leopard) or a cougar. I'm wondering if the kid who took the photos wasn't jerking the cops around. If so, great gag! But he should'a waited 'till April.....
