So I'm listening to CNN in my car this morning when a commercial break comes on and these A-holes start preaching about Jesus. I looked at the radio and it says "Not a Sermon.org" It's a paid add that's......you guessed it, an f-ing sermon.

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

You are free to believe what you want to believe and I am free to ridicule you for it.

Perhaps a complaint to CNN is in order? Those people paid for the time. It was CNN who aired it...

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Gee, religious people lying. Who'd a thunk it?

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

What's wrong with buying ads to preach about Jesus? They're paying for the air time, right? It's not government supported, is it? It's a free country, so wtf?

It's no different than some dumb ass ad telling you Ginko Biloba will improve your memory. Actually, it's less deceptive than that. You'd have to be a complete moron not to know what you're getting - whether you're into it or not - in a "Jesus Loves You" ad. And on the flip side, if you wanted to waste your money on an ad pointing out all the ways religion is totally fucked up, you ought to be able to do that.
