The man's got class, but he's certainly over-dressed to be sticking up liquor stores....

Oddly enough, the OP might be a tad prophetic. It would be advantageous to any administration to have us gun-nuts on board, the saner ones anyway. I'd not be surprised to see him reaching out to the NRA.

That's photoshopped.....right?

Yeah. In the original, he had another metalic object in his hand. It was oblong, and seemed to be a cell phone. It looked so much like someone drawing heat, I couldn't resist 'shopping it.

It's VERY well done. He could gather some missing votes with a pic like that.

Would you mind if I posted that on a gun forum? (lol)

He looks like a secret service agent in that picture.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

The original was an instant and (to me) an irresistible temptation for Photoshopping.

All I needed do was put a layer consisting of the masked pistol into the original, rotate and resize it. With Layer | Blending Options, I set the pistol layer's opacity temporarily to 50% so I could see through it, then I used the Paintbrush Tool set to "clear" to remove the parts of the pistol which needed to be hidden by his hand and his coat. I then set the pistol layer opacity back to 100%.

Last, I used the Burn Tool to made a slight shadow on his coat below the pistol barrel, and the Dodge Tool to produce a slight highlight above it. At most, fifteen minutes of work, including Googling for the pistol image.

I think Obama looks like a very professional Secret Service agent in the resulting image.

Mooner.....

Great job! Only thing I can say along the lines of perfection is this.....!

The .45, probably Colt, definitely Browning?, is a tad too dark in the rear portion of the slider part of the receiver. A little more "gun detail" would enhance the NRA aspect of the picture. You can't overdo it or it would contrast too strongly with the white shirt and black suit of Obama! Just the suggestion of the friction lines on the rear of the slider!

I used to be a gun nut, Moon!

But a stronger suggestion of the details of the rear portion of the slider, would enhance the incongruity of Obama packing heat!

Nitpicking, undoubtedly, Mooner!

Nonetheless, it is great photoshopping, Mooner!

The pistol is: CZ999 in 9 X 19MM:

I gave the pistol part a little bit of left-right "motion blur" to simulate it being draw, and also to make sure it didn't look more sharply focused than the rest of the photo. I also heightened the contrast of the pistol. Maybe that's why the rear of the receiver looks darker.

And Bill, I own a Kel-Tec P-11.
