Pleco.....

Smart! Good time to buy! It'll be better yet in '09, tho'

My house has lost close to 100K in the past six months. I expect another 40-50K decline before recovery!

Congratulations! Shoot, I have been looking for a condo for the last two years, watching the prices drop and waiting for the right moment to strike. Problem now is, even though I was pre qualified only a year ago, loans are now scarce to nonexistent. Until credit loosens up again I will just have to wait.

But enough about me...

Really, good going!

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Congrats!

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Sold our house for 10% less then we would of last year (we ive in our own little world here)... House I am buying has lost 40%.... Never be able to afford it otherwise...

Here in Mobile the housing market problem hasn't hit as bad - I'm buying this house for a little below fair market value. Looked like around here it was hitting bottom so it would be a good time to jump in.
