Sounds like a positive development to me, how about you guys? Though I should say that it sounds like it'd be impractical to do. So, is this just lip service to look good, or are his motives geniune?
Only time will tell, depends on how much effort is put into pulling this off, I guess.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

I think it's a very good thing. It would make clear to much of the world that the trials must be by traditional American standards of evidence and presumption of innocence. No more unconstitutional lynchings in a star chamber without due process.
Security will be a bitch. But one advantage, aside from justice itself, might be a more open process where the crimes of the guilty are shown graphically to the world. No longer will the whole shameful process be hidden away on a remote foreign military base. The inncocent will be much more likely to go free, while America's injustice of the last four years will begin to be reversed.
And I hope that every real terrorist who is guilty is convicted.

Agreein' with 'Mooner. I have long thought that it should have been handled as an international police matter, and right after 9/11, we had the world support that would make it work.
But, unfortunatly, we also had a moron with delusions of majesty befouling the Oval Office.

| I would love that. Unfortunately, I fully expect Bush to pardon himself before leaving office.
