Hey the ignored, here's your boy Ray expounding on evolution and other biological stuff. Ray Comfort gets it half right Category: Creationism Posted on: December 1, 2008 3:28 PM, by PZ Myers
It's remarkable. Comfort gets something right.
"The contention between Darwin's theory of evolution and the Bible's account of creation is extremely significant. This is because if evolution is true, the Bible is a fallacy."
| As PZ notes, this is indeed remarkable. But then, after an that exemplary start, he........ well, hit the link & read on.
One wonders if he ever puts his shoes on the proper feet and if so, how often does he get that right?

Aw crap, the end of the world has arrived. I need to check and make sure that my pigs haven't tried to steal my aircraft. |

I love the part where Comfort claims Darwin said that the males and the females of mankind evolved asexually as separate lines for millions of years.
Darwin theorized that mankind (both male and female) evolved in their pre-human state alongside each other over millions of years, both reproducing after their own kind before the ability to physically have sex evolved. | (Is Ray deliberately trying to set up the most awesomely preposterous scientific Straw Man in history, or is he really so ignorant that he believes this? Ray's so dumb, it's hard to be sure.)
Ol' Ray has an absolute genius for tard. By posing the choices in stark black and white between evolution and religion, he gives his version of religion nowhere it can retreat in the face of advancing scientific evidence. Actually, his position has already long ago been overwhelmed.
Clearly, Ray should have created a whole series of prepared positions to his rear (including a trench labeled, "Evolution is God's Method of Creation," and way back at the rear, "God is Nature"). Instead, he's created a situation where he is going to look like Napoleon in his horrendous winter retreat from Moscow.
Of course, Napoleon was a flawed genius, whereas Comfort is a flawed moron.

I remember Comfort comparing himself to Einstein. I guess it all makes sense if you seem him as bizarro Einstein |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
