This morning, I caught a few glimpse of a re-airing of the (pseudo)history channel: 'The exodus decoded'.
Suspicious of the few claims I saw, I wikied it.
As you can see; it is a shoddy piece of pseudo-history. It is truly sad that such a pretend educational channel would pellet such terrible disinformation.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. I've always avoided watching those shows on the History Channel. Always pro religious, but what's new. Though the one on the Marine snipers and their training was pretty interesting. |
...no one has ever found a 4.5 billion year old stone artifact (at the right geological stratum) with the words "Made by God." No Sense of Obligation by Matt Young

They (Women Marines) don't have a nickname, and they don't need one. They get their basic training in a Marine atmosphere, at a Marine Post. They inherit the traditions of the Marines. They are Marines. LtGen Thomas Holcomb, USMC Commandant of the Marine Corps, 1943
