What the hell is this dipshit smoking now?
It seems as though self-titled "rock legend" Ted Nugent is no fan of taking a Journey to the Center of the Mind.

The same Nugent who said, during an August 2007 concert, -- as he was holding what appeared to be two assault rifles -- "Obama, he's a piece of shit, and I told him to suck on my machine gun," seems to have undergone a change of heart.

Instead of death threats, now Nugent wants a job. And not just any job. He's got the Cat Scratch Fever for no less than US Drug Czar.

RAW STORY apologizes for the level of absurdity portions of this story reach. Something tells us that when Obama promised "change that we can believe in," he couldn't have possibly imagined this.
Don't apologize, RAW. After all, clowns are a social necessity and this one makes even the most imbecilic loser look good. I am surprised that he didn't apply to Bush for the gig; that imbecilic loser probably would have given it to him just for the sake of appearances.

I wonder how Nugent would plan on paying for all the stuff he wants to do.

He sounds like one of those tax-and-spend conservatives to me.

The "War on Drugs", didn't work then, and isn't working now. Not only that, the prisons are filled with non-violent drug offenders that our tax money is paying for. I say stop funding the "War on Drugs" & stop putting drug addicts in prison. There must be a better way to deal with offenders, like maybe rehabilitation or just let the Heroin addicts kill themselves.

The "War on Drugs" is an excuse for the government to take our money and spend it unwisely as usual. It hasn't stopped people from making, growing, obtaining, selling or using drugs of any kind. The "War on Drugs" in my opinion, suppress the American people when they are locked up for felonies, and cant' get a job when they get out and go back to doing the same thing damn thing and worse.

What really aggravates me is that tobacco & alcohol are legal, but Marijuana isn't. Tobacco addiction is right up there with Heroin as far as trying to quit. Alcohol is a terrible addiction that has severe consequences for the families of addicted. On the other hand Marijuana is a great way to self medicate with out the affects of severe addiction (I know because I had to quit for two years). Potheads don't crash cars, beat up their families, or struggle with an horrible addiction. Why isn't it legal!!!

Ted Nugent needs to stick to his music and stay out of politics. What a jackass.

If I am not looking at the "big picture", please let me know.

Thanks for letting me rant.

Heh, indeed! Which is why Bush would have loved him. Erm, I believe the conservative philosophy, correct me if I'm wrong, is borrow and spend! Nice catch, anyway.

Hmm, how to pay -- he could uncle off his machine guns, mayde?

Well, there you go. This is who Ted Nugent is and always has been. One thing you can say about ol' Ted is that he's consistent, and real, as opposed to many less genuine people who articulate the same views in order to sell books, or whatever. Ted speaks his wrongheaded mind, and it's his mind he is speaking. He is one of the oddities of Rock. A guy you love to hate, even while you love listen to what he does best. When he wears the tail of some dead animal on his butt while playing Cat Scratch Fever, you can bet that he shot that animal and ate it too. Except for the tail, of course.

All those other redneck rockers are posers when compared to Ted Nugent.

I guess what I'm saying is that among musicians, he is sort of like a pet nutter. I can be a fan and slap my head in 4/4 time.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Cat Scratch Fever is a good phrase to associate with him because I'd rather hear cats howling than hear his music or his politics.

He does seem sincere, which makes him halfway likeable. From a distance.

I disagree. He needs to abandon both politics and his attempts at music. He should stick to bow hunting, which he's good at.

He does seem sincere, which makes him halfway likeable. From a distance.

Sincerity is highly overrated.
