Wouldn't the world be a better place?

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Carl Sagan - 1996

That's sweet. Also, I think I'm going to have to do something along the lines of the Science World Weekly tabloid. Only the bold are unafraid of standing upon the shoulders of others.

That article made me weep about the state of the real world :(

WTF? Stupid people care more about the f*cking gossip and personal lives of scientist, artists, etc. than the work they produce.

Itīs stupidity taken to the extreme.

Yeah, like photos of Brian Greene sunbathing nude with his girlfriend is going to reveal anything new about the universe!

It's a parody, my friend. The humor is in the fact that nobody much gives a rat's ass about the personal lives of scientists.

It's an old The Onion article. Awesome as usual, satire/parody.

No need to apologize to me. We parodists need more people to occasionally take our stuff literally.
