Here's the article at Cracked.com. I love mad scientists (as opposed to simply angry ones). Amazing Cracked couldn't fill out a full dozen, or at least ten!

BTW, I believe the gruesome Soviet "living dog head" experiment film is a fake. A disembodied head should not be able to move that much.

That's... way creepy and I'd be very surprised if some of these worked nearly as well as implied.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Well, they do go for humor first there.

I got as far as the link to "L. Ron Hubbard's 5 Most Impressive Lies (Besides Scientology)," and then got detoured, hard.

That one's fun.

Cracked is actually a pretty effective popular skeptical site, aside from taking a few liberties for humor's sake.

Yes; I enjoy the place.

They also have regular comic/nerd related articles that I enjoy...
