Turns out one of the people who died on the latest plane crash (flight something or other) was sticking the Clintons with some (possibly) valid criticisms of their handling of Rwanda. This just after a Clinton gains some sort of power. I guess the Clinton murder machine is back in business. [Note: I don't believe any of this]

What's the world coming to? You can't even have a plane crash any more without someone with a political ax to grind being killed.

And one of the passengers survived 9/11.... blah blah blah......

The only thing that flashed through my mind when I heard "turboprop" and "nosedived" was the 1994 crash in an Indiana field.

In that case, the leading edge deicers were working, but the ice was reforming behind the leading edge of the wing. When the ice blew back enough, it interfered with the control surfaces and that plane (also a turboprop) snap rolled and plummeted into the ground.

The carrier was American Eagle. After that, American Eagle relegated all their turboprops to Carribean short haul trips. Bombarier has made some improvements in deicers, but this appears to be pilot judgement error.
