Dope dealers don't seem to have unemployment insurance to help them through the recession. One bank robbery suspect now in a Northern California jail says:| "Times are hard. Not enough people are buying dope. So we started robbing banks." |
Kind of reminds me of hearing that many Prohibition Era criminals tried their hands at kidnapping for ransom when Prohibition was repealed.

Comes as no surprise. Convenience stores are getting hit a lot more lately as well.

Jail may look like a viable option when living on the street becomes a real possibility. Food, medical and a bed. For the person with nothing, robbing a bank might start looking like a win/win.
Things are going to get pretty strange out there. |
Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
Why not question something for a change?
