Ok, one last "From Hell, I stab at thee!" It looks to be a sedimentary rock formation, possibly Cretaceous. formed by carbon dioxide laden (acid) water percolating through it. As to it's name, I couldn't say -- the image gives no context and searching for it without context is futile. I've tried....

| Likely so, is the new thinking, though it was for many years considered to have been an eroded salt dome. A small amount of shocked quartz has been found, giving some support to its being an impact crater.
But what's its name, and where is it?
Hint 3: The oldest strata exposed is Permian shale, overlain by Permian sandstone. Overlaying those are further Triassic and Triassic-Jurassic layers.

| Aha! Context at last! It's the Upheavel Dome formation at Canyonlands National Park.

| Congratulations! Correct! 2/3 credit to Filthy for its name and location, 1/3 to TG for first correctly naming its likeliest cause!
"Upheaval Dome" Wiki article. (Note the deceptive name is based upon the old idea that it's a salt dome.)
This is quite an interesting impact crater, not least because most people are unaware of it. In Utah's Canyonlands National Park, it is older, and more eroded than Meteor Crater in Arizona. It also in the midst of some spectacular Coyote-and-Roadrunner country.
I suspect it will eventually be renamed Upheaval Crater, assuming the impact crater hypothesis dominates the debate about its origin.
Filthy, could you please explain how the strata (if it was that) helped you identify Upheaval Dome?

This is not really in my field of expertise, if indeed I have a field of expertise, but, if I have it right, it was indeed a salt dome, possibly a leached-out one, that had the ill luck to get smacked by a meteor, size indeterminate. Salt domes are mostly found in sedimentary strata and the Upheaval Dome is the only one I know of in the US. A quick google confirmed it.
What do TG & me win?
